My want list

Though I am welcome to trade for almost anything in the game show trading circuit, there are some things that I am particularily on the hunt for. Here's some game shows and non-game shows that catch my interest to have.
CODES: Sentences like this give my description
Bold sentences will be things I am looking for
Bold, Italic red sentences are episodes I am not willing to trade for

Masters of the Maze was a 2-season wonder on the Family Channel from 1994 to 1996, my days of elementary school. What made it so cool was the maze run of both seasons, though I adjusted better with Mario Lopez for reasons I can't remember, probably one of which being that though I watched the J.D. Roth era, I saw more of it with Lopez. I will trade for any episode that I do not have, whether it's J.D. Roth or Mario Lopez. Both seasons were terrific and I loved both, so the entire run is what I'm focusing on.

Bullseye, being one of the shortest-lived Barry-Enright shows seeing it lasted about 2 years, probably because of its format. But, you can tell it was Barry and Enright, because it was a combination of The Joker's Wild and Tic Tac Dough, hosted by Jim Lange. It was still an interesting show and I would like to have more episodes if possible.

Press Your Luck was another awesome game show, and may Peter Tomarken's soul rest in peace, since he passed away in a plane crash on March 13th, 2006. This was his best show of his entire career, and man was he good.
I am on the hunt for any episode GSN has not shown, like from 1983 and late 1985 to 1986. I am also on a good lookout for Tony/Dan/Cre from 1983. I used to have most of that episode taped, but it got taped over. Sad thing too, because it had a retiring champion and as I recall, a rare Whammy.

The Reg Grundy library

Sale of the Century and Scrabble are Reg Grundy's best works ever. Sale of the Century was hosted by Jim Perry from 1983 to 1989 on NBC, and had some interesting concepts. Although I was adjusted to the Winner's Big Money Game, I overheard that's what killed the show. I am looking for any episode in the run.
Scrabble is known to be the greatest work of Chuck Woolery ever, from 1984 all the way to 1990, and also a brief 6-month run in 1993. I am looking for any episode on that, especially for the nbcscrabble group I am a part of.
For Sale of the Century, I am on the hunt for episodes of any retiring champion. This includes Tim Holleran, Alice Conkright, Curtis Warren, John Goss, Helanie Lowry, David Sparks, Mark DeCarlo, any good retiring champion. I am also willing to trade for episodes with Laura Chambers, as well as Tony Barber episodes from Australia
In Scrabble, I am also on the hunt for episodes with Annie McCormick and Mark Daubleman, since they're the only ones that retired with $55,500
I will NOT trade for any Sale of the Century episodes with Sally Julian. After seeing the premiere, I know she wasn't going to go well and I have not adjusted to her.

Wink Martindale's best show, as far as I know. A game of strategy, knowledge, and the fun of tic-tac-toe combined with a strategy of avoiding the Dragon. I will trade for any episode with Martindale or the final host, Jim Caldwell.
I am not ready to trade for an episode of Tic Tac Dough with Patrick Wayne that has the rapping Dragon and Dragonslayer just yet.

This show was the show that Jack Barry put not up on the map, but himself back up after the Quiz Show Scandals, from 1972 to 1975, and again from 1977 until his death in 1984. Bill Cullen took his place for the last 2 years, and I know that Jim Peck, who hosted The Big Showdown took substitutions. I am looking for any episode from the classic run.
When The Joker's Wild returned in 1990, that was the one I was accustomed to. I did not hear about the classic Joker until the late 90s. Pat Finn did well with his job that he was given, though it wasn't the best according to the fans. The definition format gave a really good twist on answering questions. I am also on the hunt for any episodes from his run, whether it's DOLLAR or CATEGORY.
Please note that the quality of the premiere episode of the 90s that I have (Michael vs. Judi vs. Michael) is not the best quality, as it is VERY jumpy and some audio quakes. I am on the hunt for a better quality episode of that episode.

After seeing the Big Numbers and some clips of the main game with the Trebek era, I decided to go ahead and ask for full episodes. Also, Wink Martindale was good with his run, so I shall also request for any episodes from his era if possible.

Deal or No Deal has had some wonderful moments, though still no $1,000,000 winner. Full of fun, excitement and daring from the Banker, but wait...where are my manners. Hi, ladies! "Hi, Michael!" Thank you. I am also willing to trade for any episodes of Deal or No Deal from the UK with Noel Edmonds.

Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? was known to be the second-longest running children's game show of all-time, right behind Double Dare on Nickelodeon. Greg Lee, as I know it used to work on the staff of Double Dare before working on WITWICS. And, I'd like to give my best to the late Lynne Thigpen, who portrayed the Chief on this show. She died in 2003, reasons on my rulesheet in the rulesheet database. Though I have one episode, I wish to retrieve more.
Though I was not accustomed to Where in TIME is Carmen Sandiego? with Kevin Schnick, people have been asking me if I have any to post, and I keep saying, "No, I didn't like it." But they still ask me to this day try and post some if I retrieve any. I am only looking for ONE Time episode, and afterwards, not for a while.

Classic Concentration was from 1987 to 1991 for Alex Trebek, after a good run with Hugh Downs, Jack Barry, and Jack Narz. This show was good, no matter what rules it had, because what made it so special was the TAKE! cards and the car round at the end of every game, and what other game show did you see offer 8 cars? No other! I am looking for any episode that I do not have.

Pitfall was another one of Alex Trebek's good runs while in Canada, and was one of the most popular Canadian shows on television besides Definition with Jim Perry, which lasted 17 years. The reason why Pitfall was cancelled was not because of ratings, but because their packager, Catalena Productions had big financial troubles. Sad enough to know that some contestants did not receive their winnings towards the end of the run, and that Alex Trebek didn't get paid, which is no wonder why he called this one of the tragedies of his life. He still has a check in his office home to this day. Nonetheless, I am looking for any episode that I do not have.

Hit Man was introduced in January 1983, and ran until April 1st, 1983, a 13-week show hosted by the great Peter Tomarken himself before hosting Press Your Luck, which began that same year. His talents with Hit Man was what probably nailed him the hosting position of Press Your Luck. This show was not as bad as it sounded. Getting knowledge from 3-minute clips read by Tomarken, remembering them to win the game, especially the Triple Crown at the end of the show. I am looking for any episode that I do not have in my collection.

Shop 'Til You Drop was one of Pat Finn's greatest works, probably was his greatest work. He didn't wear glasses like he did on The Joker's Wild, but he certainly did bring his sense of style into the "mall"-type studio of Shop 'Til You Drop.
I do NOT want any episodes with J.D. Roberto, because there were no stunts, the mega-store was a complete overhaul, and the format just made me cough. So please, Finn era only!

Supermarket Sweep, though it's David Ruprecht's only game show, it was probably one of the GREATEST game shows EVER! I loved the format and the main games, all terrific...especially the Big Sweep and the run for $5,000...which stayed the entire run, and it probably would have gone on longer had the jackpot of $5,000 grew bigger maybe. I am looking for any episode that I do not have, especially if it has Johnny Gilbert as the announcer. Though Gilbert was great and I'm on the hunt for episodes when he announced, I can also accept episodes when Randy West was the announcer.

The $1,000,000 Chance of a Lifetime I learned about in earlier years, but it really didn't catch my eye until I saw an endgame clip on YouTube and I interviewed Cheryl Gilmore back in February of 2007. I saw a one-puzzle clip on the now-defunct Page O'Clips when Kim & George Britain later on won the $1,000,000 in that episode, which I now have in full. I am looking for any other episode that I do not have, but I'm especially on the hunt for the other 2 episodes where the couples win $1,000,000.

Split Second was probably the second-best of Monty Hall's shows behind Let's Make a Deal. The show had a 3-year run from 1972 to 1975 with Tom Kennedy, but all Kennedy episodes, save for 3 were destroyed by ABC due to compliances and practices back then. The three episodes with Tom Kennedy that survive are when Michael Russnow plays in 1972, Marvin/Shari/Valiant when someone wins the car, and the 1975 finale, which I now have. Split Second with Monty Hall only lasted a year, because it was taped in Canada and not a lot of stations recognized it from Tom Kennedy, though Monty Hall was behind that version as well since he and the late Stefan Hatos created Split Second. I am on the hunt for any episode from the Hall era, and if there's anybody that has any other episode of Split Second from the 70s era that they managed to tape, I can accept those too.

Debt was Wink Martindale's final game show. Afterwards, Wink appeared on so many things, like GSN Live!, 1 vs. 100 on the Mob, and so many others. This show, a kind of parody of Jeopardy! for people who are in debt, was a really terrific piece of work. This also probably earned the ticket for Frank Nicotero to earn his hosting position on Street Smarts later on down the road, since he was so smart and energetic in some aspects. I am looking for any Debt episode that I do not have

The Mole on ABC is a pretty good reality show, and Anderson Cooper really did set the record straight in the 2 seasons he hosted it. Ahmad Rashad was all right, even though he did celebrity versions. And now, there's a newer version currently playing on ABC that might catch everyone's attention. Even though Ahmad Rashad was good, and I am wanting to re-acquire some episodes since my set got TAPED OVER, I am on the hunt for Mole episode with Anderson Cooper, while Kathryn Price and Bill McDaniel were the Moles in their respected seasons. On the hunt for any episode in the five seasons it was on.

The Crystal Maze was introduced to me by Kyle Wheeler, a fellow supporter of the Game Show Temple, and namk19 at YouTube. This show, although British, was like Double Dare for the adults. You can find an episode of this on GameShowVideos, but YouTube unfortunately pulled most of the Crystal Maze clips from their site, otherwise the one who posted them was suspended for wrongposting. I am looking for either episode with Richard O'Brien, if ANYBODY in the United States has an episode or two. Ed Tudor Pole is acceptable as well.

The Merv Griffin library

May Merv Griffin's soul rest in peace. These two shows are his best works of all-time, and for good reasons. They involves a lot of strategy, money, and a lot of fun.
Wheel of Fortune is the second longest-running game show behind The Price is Right, and is terrific with Pat Sajak. I'm on the hunt for any episode he's got, even from earlier times when they had the red, yellow and blue backgrounds for the players. Also, I'm interested in Chuck Woolery's episodes too.
Jeopardy! is a good Q/A game that makes you say "What/Who is..." before the answer. It was an idea from Merv's wife, and he was scared at first because when she began describing it, he feared they'd get in trouble because he recalled the Quiz Show Scandals, but when it came to view, it was all a good creation after all. I'm on the hunt for any episode with Ken Jennings, any retiring champions, but mostly on the hunt for any episode with the "tile" set of 1991 to 1996.

Yes folks, Monopoly was made into a summer show in 1990 and hosted by Mike Reilly, who was once on Jeopardy!, even though he lost to an eventual 5-time champion. This show brought in terrific answers to crossword-type clues for big money and had an excellent format, though it only lasted 13 shows every Saturday night, which apparently gave it its quick demise. I am looking for any other episode that I do not have.

Blockbusters was a strategic game of connecting one side to the other. Bill Cullen's era from 1980 to 1982 consisted a family pair vs. a solo player, while Bill Rafferty in 1987 only had 2 solo players. I am on the hunt for any episode I do not have...especially episodes with retiring champions, like Jeanne from 1987, and from the Cullen era: Kandi Doyle, Alan & Jeff Dennis, John Shannon & Kathy Thomas, LaRae Dillman, Leland Yung, Gene Vissich, Sherry Lucas, John Hatten, and Liz & Pat McCarthy.

Trivia Trap, though short-lived, seemed to be a pretty good challenging show. I am looking for any episode that I do not have. I also overheard that Kandi Doyle (from Blockbusters) and Scott Hostetler (from many shows, notably as the "HONG KONG! ALL RIGHT!" guy from Press Your Luck) was on the show, so I'm on the hunt for them.

The Price is Right is the longest running game show, and it's thanks to Bob Barker, whom I still credit today. I really like Drew Carey as the host, he has really progressed well since he started. I said to myself, "Whoever is the new host, give him time. He'll adjust," and that's what Drew did. As I read, he still had 85% of the original TPIR viewers before Bob left, so he's done very successfully. I'm on the hunt for any episode that I do not have, that has a very memorable contestant, special moments, anything like that.

I think Bruce Forsyth deserved better shot here in America while trying host Bruce Forsyth's Hot Streak here, but no one gave it a chance because ABC pitted it against The Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune. After looking at the show, I say it deserved a much better chance, especially for Bruce. I am looking for any episode of the 13-week long show.
I have the finale of this show, but it's in very awful condition. I am looking for a better quality episode of the finale

Who Wants to be a Millionaire fled to stardom in August 1999 with Regis Philbin. Despite the format changed when Meredith Vieira took the reins, she had the styles of hosting. I'm on the look for any awesome Millionaire episode that I do not have, including an episode where someone calls Rosie O' Donnell, and any great $1,000,000, $500,000 or $250,000 wins.

Another fun show for the ages of Nickelodeon! The games were fabulous, as well as the hosts. On the hunt for any episode I don't have
On the hunt for episodes with Jessica Gaynes as host, and Marc Summers as special guest

Another fun show with one of my interests: video games! Nick Arcade combined kids with video games, and they really did outdo themselves. Looking for any episode from this two-season wonder.

It sure wasn't Nickelodeon without Double Dare. Filled with questions, physical challenges, obstacle courses, it was all the best. Marc Summers was sure terrific. I'm on the hunt for any episode from the original run, as well as Super Sloppy Double Dare, Family Double Dare, and yes...Double Dare 2000.

And, here's another show Nickelodeon sure wasn't good without: Legends of the Hidden Temple with Kirk Fogg! One of the greatest shows with trivia about a legend, games about the legend, and running through the temple to avoid temple guards. And, I am proud to be a donator and supporter to the Room of the Mandarin Hand, found in the links area. I'm looking for any episode of this 3-season wonder.

One question, folks: "Do you have it?" Nickelodeon GUTS asked that very question, as well as Mike O' Malley and referee, Moira Quirk. This show was filled with awesome physical games in the Extreme Arena based in the now-defunct Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando, FL. But, the best of all was climbing the crag. I am on the hunt for any episode from the 3-season hit sports for kids show, including Global Guts. "Do you have it? GUTS!!!"

NON-GAME SHOW WANTS:

The People's Court is probably the best small claims court show on television, and longest-running if I do say so myself. Marilyn Milian is probably an awesome judge, as she gives litigants a piece of her mind if they disrespect her, an example of which being on YouTube. Before her though, there were 2 other judges while Kurt Chaplin and Harvey Levin (presently working as the court reporters), and they were Ed Koch and Jerry Sheindlin (the husband of Judge Judy Sheindlin). But before them, Doug Llewelyn was the court reporter, the late Rusty Burrell was the bailiff, and retired Supreme Court judge, Joseph Wapner was the presiding judge from 1981 to 1993. I do like to watch The People's Court from time-to-time, and would love to have some episodes from previous eras on hand...especially while Wapner was still the judge. His show brings back memories of my childhood very well.

I've been studying tornadoes ever since I was in the 4th grade. I borrowed tornado books from the school library and did some research on what captivated me about tornadoes. In 6th grade, I first rented the 1996 movie, Twister starring Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt, and it was a good movie. I even shared some of my learning experiences with friends, and well...even though I'm scared of seeing a tornado today, at least I've seen well.
I am looking for any tornado documentary that has been seen on TV.

I am also looking for any late night talk show that has had a game show host or personality on as a guest.
